Our Legal Services team is critical in fulfilling the wishes and goals of our incredible clients. As a member of the Legal Services team, you will regularly use your acute attention to detail to create and finalize elevated, highly customized, beautiful estate planning documents.
About Your Role
McCullough Law is seeking a full-time, career-minded Technical Writer or Legal Drafter to join our growing company. You must be constantly critically thinking to ensure our clients’ goals and objectives are met. The ideal candidate for this position is adaptable, driven to hit high pressure deadlines, conscientious, and someone who takes pride in their work.
Responsibilities
Draft customized and detailed legal documents for attorney review within specified time parameters
Provide legal research to ensure documents meet federal, state, and IRS tax laws
Thoroughly review each client’s estate information and business documents to ensure accuracy
Ensure legal documents and asset transfer documents articulate and achieve the client’s objectives and adhere to attorney recommendations
Prepare business entities, operating documents, and business audits as part of estate planning and asset protection strategies
Consistently and accurately update legal documents based on our client’s changing needs and objectives
Keep an accurate and efficient record of all document history on an internal client management system
Requirements
Required Qualifications
1 year of writing or editorial experience
Must have professional appearance and demeanor
Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills
Impeccable attention to detail
Effective time management and organization to meet and exceed deadlines
Proven ability to work independently, maintain strict confidentiality, and implement feedback
Excellent verbal and written communication
Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
Applicants must be available to work onsite Monday to Friday from 8:25 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of professional legal, business, or office experience
Familiar with different estate planning documents (i.e., will, health care directive, power of attorney, trusts, etc.)
Knowledge of real estate, financial investments and bank accounts, private equity, life insurance policies, asset appraisal, and/or business structures and creation
Customer relationship management (CRM) experience
60+ WPM
