Internal Audit Manager** (Contract)

Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for Extension

Location: London (On site 5 days per week)

Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella Day Rate is available for suitable candidates

About this role

This role is a contract hire for 6 months and involves playing a lead role in the delivering various audits for Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) as well as EMEA Credit Risk Management functions. GCIB business includes M&A, Capital Markets, Corporate Banking, Global leasing and Transaction Banking (Payments, Trade Finance, Commercial Cards, Treasury Management).

Skills & Experience:

Understanding of GCIB products, services and processes and / or Credit risk management
Ability to think critically, demonstrate intellectual curiosity, analytical skills and professional judgment to influence business partners, senior business managers and stakeholders.
Demonstrable experience of Audit, Credit Risk, or other relevant experience.
Understanding of the Laws and Regulations impacting the GCIB and credit business.
Ability to work independently and in a detailed manner with a positive attitude and exhibits flexibility
Strong written and verbal communications at all levels of management - must be able to make recommendations and articulate conclusions supported by data.
Strong project management skills (proactive initiation of data/documentation requests, timely delivery of work - adhere to agreed project delivery timelines, timely completion of well-documented testing work with supporting rationale) and ability to operate in a fast paced environment with multiple concurrent priorities.
Professional certification (FRM, CFA, CIA, ACA, ACCA)
Audit or risk/controls background in financial services
Good understanding of key controls expected / best practices related to data management, quality assurance (QA) requirement generation, metrics and reporting and issue/incident resolution processes within wholesale banking business lines.
