TS/SCI w/ Poly - Cloud Linux Engineer

This role requires an active TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph clearance
The Infrastructure Team Member will be responsible for the implementation, support, and maintenance
of all Linux infrastructure systems, both on premises and in cloud. The individual will work with network
and systems engineers as well as application developers to install, configure, and maintain systems.
Activities include but are not limited to:
 Manage day to day operations of systems by monitoring system performance, configuration,
maintenance, and repair.
 Assist application teams with creation and configuration of Linux systems and platforms.
 Work with other teams to deploy new software and improve existing systems
 Project based development, implementation, and documentation of Linux systems and
capabilities (Security enhancements, Resource Monitoring and Notification, Dev/Ops
Automation, etc.)
 Perform initial troubleshooting of issues and work with other teams, as necessary, to efficiently
resolve issues.
 Provide regular updates on project status through established team communication tools.
 Participate in and conducting applicable accreditation support (scans, automation, auditing,
etc.) on Linux systems.
 Apply system firmware and update security and other patches.
Requirements
Required skills
1. Extensive experience as a Unix/Linux Systems Administrator of Linux, preferably RHEL/CentOS
(installation, configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting)
2. Prior experience with one or more scripting tools: Shell, Perl/CGI, Python, Ruby
3. Experience with Linux architecture, networking, and optimization
4. Relevant experience managing and monitoring Linux server resources in a VMWare/VSphere
environment
5. Prior experience with Centrify and Active Directory integration and management of Linux
groups, accounts, and servers
6. Ability to establish and manage Linux platforms in a cloud environment. The engineer will be
able to advise customers on best practices for managing these assets for optimal mission goal
achievement within budget.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
8. Ability to communicate technical information both orally and written
Optional Experience
1. Prior experience with SQL querying of a relational database, such as MySQL
2. Prior experience setting up Docker clusters using Swarm and or Kubernetes
3. Prior experience with git for Infrastructure code management
NiFi System Engineering
1. Prior experience with Apache NiFi, NiFi data flow design, and NiFi clustering
2. Working knowledge of common data formats, languages, and transforms such as XML, XPATH,
XSLT, JSON, JPATH, AVRO, CSV, and HTML
3. Working knowledge of regular expressions (e.g., Java, RegEx, or Perl), data queueing protocols
(e.g., Kafka, MQueue), Amazon Web Services (SQS, SNS, S3), and NiFi Expression Language
4. Prior experience in securing data transmission with PKI certificates including requesting, signing,
installing, and renewing certificates for applications and operating systems using Java Keytool
and/or OpenSSH
Strong documentation skills using common collaboration/wiki tools such as Confluence, Jira and drawing
tools such as Visio.
