Responsibilities:
Assisting with the electronic discovery process, including the collection, preservation, and review of materials for eventual production; tracking incoming and outgoing productions; and assisting with the preparation of privilege logs.
Establishing and maintaining case files, document collections, and chronologies.
Drafting correspondence.
Compiling materials for witness interviews and depositions.
Digesting and indexing deposition transcripts.
Assisting with trial preparation and at trial, including setting up the trial, organizing trial exhibits and notebooks, developing charts, graphs, and other visual aids, maintaining exhibits, taking notes at the trial, and assisting with trial presentation and/or other presentation software.
Developing information retrieval systems with an emphasis on use of computerized litigation support.
Checking citations, Bluebooking, and proofreading legal documents.
Researching, analyzing, and drafting factual memoranda.
Conducting computer searches, research, and case management functions on client databases or firm resources such as Opus 2, Relativity, Lexis/Nexis, Westlaw, HighQ/Engage, the Internet.
Collaborating with eData (Litigation Support) on issues regarding electronic discovery and other matters.
Filing and retrieving documents at courthouses and government agencies and preparing files for and executing electronic Court filings.
Assisting with coordinating and supervising teams of contract attorneys on document review projects.
Requirements
Four-year college degree strongly preferred. Excellent academic record.
5+ years of Product Liability Paralegal experience
Flexibility to work overtime as necessary, including nights, weekends, and travel, as necessary.
