Bargaining Unit: ACE Associates Exempt from Overtime: Exempt: Yes Work Schedule: Days Hours: 8a-4p Summary: The Director, Security & Emergency Management for Catholic Health is responsible for leading, directing, planning, organizing, and evaluating all security access and related processes, as well as emergency management preparedness for all ministries and locations in coordination with the Senior Administrative Teams and Corporate Human Resources. The Director, Security & Emergency Management is accountable for administering, overseeing security and emergency preparedness resources, contracts and access operations. In addition, the position provides insight to security operational issues and/or concerns by ministry President or their designee. Responsibilities: EDUCATION * Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field required * Master degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field strongly preferred EXPERIENCE * A minimum of seven (7) years of healthcare operations exposure in the areas of security and emergency management practices and staffing * Emergency Management Institute course completion of ISO 0001, ISO 100, ISO 200, ISO 700, ISO 800, ISO 907 KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY * Knowledge of governance, leadership, administrative management and service-oriented security and emergency management operations is required * Excellent knowledge of Security, Safety and Emergency Preparedness and Management best practices and applicable laws * Solid experience/involvement in the development and implementation of security and emergency management programs * Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills * Demonstration of strong leadership skills * Good facilitation and mediation skills * Ability to develop and work in a collaborative team environment * Ability to develop and work in a collaborative unionized environment * Knowledge of applicable Federal and New York State rules and regulations * Excellent computer skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access software applications WORKING CONDITIONS * Typical of office work, field environment settings and austere conditions during operational and/or weather emergency situations
