Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Senior Rail/Transit Design/Project Manager to work out of our San Francisco Bay Area Offices (Oakland, San Jose, or San Francisco).
JOB SUMMARY:
The appropriately qualified applicant will demonstrate an established career in the rail transit industry, specifically with BART, SF Muni, VTA, and Caltrain, and have strong relationships with these clients’ organizations and key personnel. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of business development, client service, design management and delivery on complex transit projects and programs. The focus will be on expanding our overall rail transit practice in the SF Bay Area. Experience needs to include the direct management of design delivery, from preliminary engineering through final plans, specifications, estimates, and construction contract documents on major rail transit projects. An established track record of successfully representing the engineering company responsible for the final design deliverables is highly desirable.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position supports the Rail/Transit Division for the West Region in the execution of rail and transit contracts for project development and design services.
Managing staff and tasks associated with rail/transit contracts.
Support rail design pursuits of major rail capital programs including light rail, heavy rail, or commuter rail.
Manage multi-discipline teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget on multi-million tasks or projects.
Lead meetings with client and stakeholders.
Mentor junior to mid-level staff.
