Florida Food Products, Inc. (FFP) is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Tech to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. At FFP, we are committed to providing healthy, naturally sourced plant-based food and beverage ingredient solutions for over 65 years. We offer extensive manufacturing capabilities, including extraction, fermentation, drying, and blending technologies, with vegetable juice concentrate production facilities in Florida, premium brewed tea, coffee, and herbals production in Georgia, flavors from New York, cold brew coffee extracts out of our California and Indiana based sites along with natural caffeine and L-Theanine from our Oregon based facility. As an Electrical and Instrumentation Tech, you will ensure the reliability and safe operations of all electrical, instrumentation and automation systems across our facilities.
Responsibilities
Install and maintain electrical and instrumentation distribution systems, including power panels, motor control centers, and transformers.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, instrumentation and automation systems and equipment.
Respond to and troubleshoot emergency breakdowns in a timely manner.
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems, including calibration, inspection, and testing of equipment.
Safely use electrical and instrumentation tools to repair and install equipment.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Requirements
Technical diploma or degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and HMI programming, VFDs, and servo motors.
Knowledge of power distribution systems, motor controls, and plant electrical systems.
Experience with instrumentation calibration, troubleshooting, and repair.
Understanding of electrical and instrumentation safety procedures and safe work practices.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
