Packaging and Delivery Technician

Giant Worldwide is a digital distribution and technologies expert for the home video entertainment industry. We service many of Hollywood’s largest studios as well as smaller independent studios. Giant has serviced thousands of titles to over 100 different streaming VOD and broadcast platforms including iTunes, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, and Google Play. In addition to our digital VOD offerings, we are also experts in UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD compression and authoring. 
 
Packaging and Delivery Technician creates metadata, packages assets (audio, video, subtitles, artwork etc), and delivers features and episodic content to various digital distribution platforms (iTunes, Hulu, Google, Amazon, etc.). 
Requirements
·        Knowledge of packaging specs and xml creation for platforms common to digital distribution. 
·        Full understanding of completing deliveries using Aspera, Transporter, and other file transferring methods 
·        Assemble finalized assets into one complete delivery package 
·        Asset management - backing up and restoring projects as needed 
·        Working with other departments to ensure deliveries are correct and on time 
·        Highly efficient in conforming and troubleshooting timed text files (.scc, .itt, etc) 
·        Excellent verbal and written skills; ability to clearly explain asset and delivery issues 
·        Familiarity with basic film/video concepts, such as resolution, frame rate, NTSC, PAL, HD 
·        Technical understanding of the various codec formats 
·        Experience with digital video/audio encoding systems a plus 
Qualifications: 
·        1+ years of digital entertainment metadata and packaging experience 
·        Experience in building out metadata to platform specification. 
·        Knowledge of the Digital Delivery process from assets received through upload to digital 
·        Keen attention to detail 
·        Ability to work in a self-directed and fast-paced environment 
·        Strong organization skills and ability to manage a heavy workload 
·        Excellent follow-through 
·        Mac and PC proficiency 
·        Highly developed problem-solving skills 
·        Resourceful and highly reliable 
·        Ability to work flexible shifts if needed (AM, PM, weekends)
