Senior PHP Developer (Symfony, Full Stack) - Glasgow/Largely Remote - To 55K plus Bonus

*** Hybrid/Remote model - Preferably 2 days per week in the office, but can be flexible to 2 visits per month ***

Having placed someone into this team recently, Lorien's client - an exciting and rapidly growing organisation with bases across the UK and overseas providing life-saving products to people around the globe - has asked for our help once again in recruiting a Senior Full Stack PHP Developer on a permanent basis.

Founded and cultivated by one of the most impressive and ambitious MDs out there, they're on track for continuing large-scale growth (looking to double their IT staff this year alone) and updates to every area of their internal and operational tech, so it's a great time to come on board and be part of that journey.

In return, they'll offer you not only a great bonus scheme, but a flexible working model (preferably a couple of days per week in the office, but happy to be flexible to something like 2 visits to the office per month), ongoing opportunities to progress both technically and professionally, the chance to have your voice heard as they evolve and improve their offerings, and a lot more.

If you're liking what you've read so far, have a look at the finer details below:

Role Outline:

Develop and implement new features for scalable web applications, as well as improving existing offerings
Take the reins across PHP development and testing, as well as creating user interfaces with Twig, etc.
Liaise with other personnel as part of a multidisciplinary team, perform code reviews, and resolve issues flagged by QA/End Users as you go to for performance/security/etc.
Stay in the loop with new trends and tech out there in order to identify areas for improvement, and bring new ideas and practices to the tableThe skills/background they're looking for:

Strong PHP skills with Symfony and native PHP code
Though this will be more Back End leaning, you will need to bring a good grasp of Front End tooling such as JavaScript (ideally with React/Angular), Twig/Template Engines, HTML, CSS, etc.
Knowledge of web security and associated practices
Database (relational) skills with MySQL/PostgreSQL
A good knowledge of RESTful APIs, and ideally but not necessarily any exposure to CI/CD/DevOps tooling such as Docker/Kubernetes/similarIf this sounds like it might be a great match for your next venture, and you'd like to know more, apply now with your latest CV for immediate consideration.
