Salary: £14.92 per hour to £18.63 per hour

Job Description:
Our well-established client in Chepstow is currently seeking reliable and skilled Class 1 Trunking Drivers to join the team.  As a Trunking Driver you will be responsible for transporting goods between our various locations efficiently and ensuring timely deliveries.  We offer competitive pay rates ranging from £14.92 to £18.63 per hour.  Temporary/Ad hoc work with potential to full time positions.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle for trunking operations, adhering to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
Transport goods between different locations, ensuring efficient delivery schedules.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure road-worthiness and report any maintenance or mechanical issues.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery details.
Communicate effectively with the transportation team and other drivers to coordinate trunking operations.
Provide exceptional customer service and address any inquiries or concerns that may arise during deliveries.Requirements:

Valid Class 1 driving licence with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
Clean driving record and a thorough understanding of traffic laws and regulations.
Strong knowledge of road safety and excellent driving skills.
Ability to work varied start times throughout the day/night, you will be expected to cover some or all weekends due to being a retail client.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
A valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
