Trainee Buyer

Role: - Trainee Buyer
Salary: - £24,000 - £25,000 per annum
Hours: - 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 - 15:30 - Friday
Location: - Birchwood, Warrington
Contract: - Permanent

Our client, a manufacturing company based in Birchwood are currently seeking a Trainee Buyer to join their expanding team on a permanent basis.

As the Trainee Buyer, your duties will be: -
Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with suppliers.
Research new suppliers and make recommendations to the Purchasing Manager
Obtain quotes for materials, office and factory supplies.
Raise purchase order numbers and update system.
Communicate supply/delays with the Purchasing Manager.
Responsible for ordering factory & office consumables
Any other administration duties
The Trainee Buyer will have the following skills and experience: -
Personal drive and eagerness to learn and develop.
Excellent communication skills (written & oral)
Strong administration skills with experience of Microsoft applications
Experience with MRP / ERP would be beneficial
