Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the growing team in the North East. If you are used to autonomously and at pace and have experience in civils this is an excellent opportunity to join a well established team of senior Quantity Surveyors.  You will be rewarded with a competitive salary and bonus scheme.  Our client is known for rewarding hard work and loyalty.

Responsibilities:

Run multiple fast paced projects.
Managing ongoing costs of live projects through to completion.
Producing and sending inquiries to subcontractors inviting them to tender and engage with the supply chain.
Produce bill of quantity/activity schedule for payment purposes. 
Monitor and control income and expenditure on contracts.
Attend and contribute to financial and progress meetings with the client and subcontractors when required. 
Provide advice and support to site teams and colleagues. 

What do we need from you?

Ability to use Excel and Blue beam. 
Excellent communication skills, both oral & written.
Negotiation skills and ability to apply those skills internally and externally.
Previous experience in civils in particular plot works.
Willingness to work on your own initiative and progress your career.
Experience with JCT and NEC contracts ideal.
HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying.
CSCS card.
