HSEQ Advisor

I’ve partnered with a leading Contractor to give you the opportunity to join their Energy division as HSEQ Advisor. You will be supporting the Distribution Overhead Lines projects across the South East. As a HSEQ Advisor you will be a key part of our HSEQ team who provide expert advice, assistance and guidance with regards to the management of health, safety and environmental issues.

Duties & responsibilities include:

• Assisting and advising the operational and management team in the implementation of the IMS.
• Providing support to operations teams to ensure compliance with all current UK legislation.
• Advising on areas such as RAMS, risk management and occupational health
• Assisting with the development of SHE management systems
• Liaison with internal and external stakeholders as required
• Supporting the incident management & investigation process
• Produce toolbox talks, team talks and appropriate HSEQ training
• Being an ambassador for the objectives, visions, priorities and values of the company
• ·Attending a variety of meetings such as HSEQ and coordination meetings, pre-start etc
This is a crucial operational role where you will relish being on-site to drive deliverables.

Key competencies include:

• Previous experience as a Safety Advisor in a DNO or electrical substation environment (desirable)
• Utilities experience or renewables experience (ESSENTIAL)
• Knowledge and experience of Temporary Works management
• Ability to influence at all levels and build relationships
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate preferred; NEBOSH General Certificate considered.
• Knowledge of HSG47 and GS 6 (desirable)
