Rate of pay: £17.50ph - £19.50ph

Hours:

Early shift, Monday - Thursday, 6am - 2.15pm.
Late shift, Monday - Thursday, 2pm - 12.00pm (incurs premium)
Overtime rates available.Position Overview:

This position is within a dynamic and expanding manufacturing company, specialising in the design and manufacture of gears, shafts, transmission, and highly complex CNC machined parts for multiple industries. Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated centre lathe turner to run an XYZ proturn semi-CNC centre lathe.

Key responsibilities/ duties:

Set up and operate centre lathes to machine metal components to engineering drawings and specifications.
Perform routine machine maintenance.
Measure and inspect finished components using precision instruments to ensure they meet quality standards.
Maintain accurate documentations and records of work.
Maintain a safe and organised working environment, following health and safety guidelines and procedures.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve machining processes and optimise efficiency.
Monitor machine operations and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the machining process.
Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to maintain product quality and accuracy.Further benefits:
