Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Position Overview: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning process within our primary school. Working closely with teachers and other staff members, you will assist in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can reach their full potential. This position is full-time and operates during term time only.

Responsibilities:

* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them to grasp concepts and achieve their learning objectives.

* Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of the students.

* Support the social and emotional development of pupils, fostering positive relationships and promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.

* Help to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment, both in the classroom and during outdoor activities.

* Collaborate with colleagues and parents to monitor student progress and address any concerns or challenges that may arise.

* Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge as a Teaching Assistant.

Requirements:

* Minimum Level 2 or 3 qualification in a relevant subject area.

* Previous experience working with children, preferably within a school setting.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.

* A patient and compassionate approach to supporting learners of varying abilities and backgrounds.

* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the school and its students.

* A commitment to upholding high standards of professionalism and safeguarding at all times.
