Location: Grimsby

Shift Pattern:

Week 1: Monday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Friday: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Week 2: Monday - Thursday: 3:30 PM - Midnight, Friday: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Overtime rates:

Weekdays and Saturdays: Time and a half

Sundays and Bank Holidays: Double time or Dyas back in lieu

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Manual Lathe Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be apprentice trained in manual lathe machining, with experience operating machines such as Herbert, Centre Lathe, and Dean Smith & Grace Lathe. Some CNC machining will also be required, and training will be provided for CNC operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate manual lathe machines including Herberts, Centre Lathe, and DS & G machines to produce precision parts.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to produce accurate components.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of lathe machines to ensure optimal performance.
Utilise CNC machines for specific tasks as required; training will be provided.
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and technical specifications.
Collaborate with the production team to meet project deadlines and production goals.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Qualifications:

Apprentice trained in manual lathe machining.
Proven experience operating manual lathe machines such as Herberts, Centre Lathe, and DS & G machines.
Basic understanding of CNC machining; willingness to undergo training.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility to work alternating shifts as specified.
Compensation:

Annual Salary: £(phone number removed)
Voluntary Overtime paid at time and a half during weekdays and Saturdays
Double time pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
