Job Specification
For: Toolmaker
Inspire Resourcing are working with an established engineering business in the Sheffield area who are looking for a Toolmaker to join their expanding team.
Duties:
* Responsible for producing new jigs, fixtures, form tools & general tooling to engineering drawings
* Responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving existing jigs, fixtures, form tools & general tooling
* Work closely with Tooling Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to provide the most cost effective and efficient tooling solutions
* Provide toolroom support to the maintenance department
* Support Production by reacting effectively to breakdowns
* Report issues to the Toolroom Supervisor or directly to stakeholders when required
* Provide input into the quotation process
Experience:
* Be fully competent using manual lathes for turning details up to 1 metre diameter
* Be fully competent using manual machines including but not limited to milling machines, radial arm drills, surface & cylindrical grinders
* Hold all of the required hand / bench skills for jig and tool manufacture and maintenance
* Computer Numerical Control (CNC) operation and programming Desirable
* Demonstrated experience of interpreting and understanding engineering drawings
* Demonstrated experience of producing parts to tight tolerances
This is a permanent position at £28,500 - £31,500 per annum
The working hours are days only:
Monday – Thursday: 7:15am – 16:00pm / Friday 7:15am – 12:15pm
