They are seeking a dedicated Transport Planner to join our their transport planning team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and managing the transportation of goods in an efficient and cost-effective manner within a busy distribution operation.
Description
The Transport Planner duties and responsibilities are:
Develop effective transport schedules and routes for deliveries
Coordinate with customers, suppliers and transport companies
Ensure compliance with transport laws and regulations
Monitor transport costs and efficiency
Respond to any issues or complaints
Manage logistics of transport resources
Implement health and safety procedures
Maintain records of transport activitiesProfile
A successful Transport Planner should have:
experience in transport planning within a busy distribution operation
Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
Proficiency in logistics software
Knowledge of transport regulations and policies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
