Based in Oxfordshire, Oxford Hydrotechnics is a market-leading resin injection and concrete grouting specialist firm working on prestigious projects across the UK and Europe.

Our Head Office and Stores are in Baynards Green, Oxfordshire however this role may involve some travel.

Stores Supervisor - Role Purpose:

The Stores Supervisor is responsible for the issue and maintenance of equipment, materials and tools to complete our orders of work and also for the operation of a clean, well-organised and legally compliant Stores.

The post requires an individual with both the attention to detail and IT skills to manage stock and procurement of our key products and materials, as well as the practical skills to undertake basic maintenance of equipment and take a hands-on approach to the day to day operation of Stores.

The Stores Supervisor will ensure that all tool and equipment maintenance, testing and certification are carried out in line with regulatory and statutory requirements and ensure that the Stores are run in adherence to HSE guidelines and the requirements of the Company’s accreditations which include ISO 9001 and 14001 and FORS.

Core Hours

45 hours per week (including 30 minutes paid daily lunch break) Monday to Friday.

Stores Supervisor: Main Duties

Management of Stores

1. Run the Stores as a professional, efficient and legally compliant unit, identifying and implementing any new initiatives to improve its operation.

2. Overall responsibility for H&S within the Stores, with regular review and risk assessment.

3. Ensure a robust process of equipment, vehicles and materials being issued to the Field Team to ensure timely handover and record keeping.

4. Responsibility for waste management in line with ISO 14001 Environmental management systems including Hazardous / Non-Hazardous waste.

Stock & Equipment

1. Management of stock levels considering safe storage, shelf life, delivery lead time and job requirements using our electronic stock system.

2. Liaise with Contracts Manager and Engineers regularly to determine materials and equipment required for the pipeline of jobs.

3. Carry out an accurate monthly stock check for submission to Finance Manager.

Servicing & Maintenance

1. Ensure all plant, equipment and infrastructure is included in a process of regular checks, servicing and maintenance plan in line with the relevant regulations and with excellent record keeping.

2. Day to day maintenance and cleaning of equipment as needed.

3. Liaise with key suppliers to provide external servicing and calibration as required on the Servicing Plan.

Procurement

1. Day-to-day oversight of our supplier contracts, placing orders, handling invoices and negotiating rates as needed.

2. Arrange hire of appropriate equipment as required to meet operational needs whilst obtaining authorisation where necessary and keeping the relevant records.

Fleet

1. Adhere to the Company’s driving policy when using company owned or hired vehicles.

2. Inspect vehicles and log any damage or repairs needed on their return and make recommendations to Management.

3. Arrange servicing and liaise with repair providers ensuring cost-effective solutions.

Other

1. Face-Fitting of site staff with respiratory protective equipment (RPE), including completion of records.

2. Support the maintenance of the Company’s accreditations including ISO 9001, 14001 and FORS

3. Collections and deliveries as required
