About the Role:
Rhubarb Recruitment, a Specialist Luxury Private Chef and Private Household Recruiter based in London is seeking a dedicated and professional Private Chef for an Ultra-High Net Worth (UHNW) family. The family maintains residences in Beverly Hills, London, the Bahamas, Switzerland, and Italy.
Key Responsibilities:
As Private Chef for a family of 5, you will move with them at short notice to any of their global residences. The job is full-time, and you will work on a 3-month rotation, approximately 3 months on and 3 months off, full flexibility in your availability is essential. You will be paid and contracted to work exclusively for the family when both on and off rotation.
You will prepare daily menus and adjust them as necessary according to the Principal’s preferences and dietary requirements (e.g. no salt). You will use fresh, organic, healthy ingredients, manage, and source inventory, and purchase fresh produce from local and international markets.
The family currently has 2 Private Chefs, and you will work as part of a global 25-person strong private staff team.
We are not looking for a Chef who is looking to prove anything or do something cleverer or more/less than is asked by the Principal. A personable character without an ego is essential.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Professional culinary education/training with experience as a Private Chef for UHNW families or in high-end award-winning restaurants.
* Experience working in formal, fully staffed homes.
* Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish and Italian is a plus.
* Flexibility to travel extensively and adapt to a changing schedule.
* Professional, discreet, and presentable demeanour with no visible tattoos or piercings.
* Strong understanding of silver service.
* Calm, team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
* No ego; able to follow instructions and directions precisely.
* Must pass an extensive background check.
* Valid passport.
