Quantity surveyor

Role: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Norwich.  

We are currently in the process of hiring a Quantity Surveyor to supervise the estimation of costs, material quantities, and project timelines for the refurbishment of a large-scale mixed-use construction project based in Norwich.

Type: Freelance.
Duration: Ongoing.
Salary/Rate: Up to £400 per day via Ltd Company or PAYE Umbrella, dependent on skills and experience. This role has been deemed to be outside IR35 if necessary, if it passes the IR35 assessment, this will be assessed for each candidate.
 
As a Freelance Quantity Surveyor, your principal roles and responsibilities will include:

Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour, and time.
Perform risk and value management, and cost control during construction.
Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks.
Negotiate contracts and work schedules.
Managing project budget, ensuring value for money.
Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports.
Advise and implement a procurement strategy.Essential criteria:

Must have 3+ years of Quantity Surveying Experience.
Experience working for a principal contractor.
Effective analytical thinking skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Be available to start within the next 3 weeks.There is also the opportunity to stay on full-time and become a permanent worker for this client if you desire.
