Salary: £95,000 - £110,000 dependent on experience
Working Arrangements: 36.25 hours per week

The successful candidate will, as a member of the executive board, shape the direction of the Service, in particular providing professional HR advice, leading, and delivering the people strategy of the service within a unionised environment, developing a competent and happy workforce, focused on development and wellbeing. The postholder will be responsible for providing leadership and management of the Human Resources and Safety Health and Environment teams and the Service Solicitor. The Service is also considering extending the leadership and management responsibilities of the successful applicant to include the Service Training Centre.
It is essential that candidates are qualified to degree level and hold MCIPD or equivalent and have substantial senior managerial experience within a Human Resources function, ideally with experience of working and leading within a public sector organisation.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a first stage interview prior to 19 July 2024. Candidates who are successful through the first stage interview will be invited to a final stage interview with Fire Authority Members and the Chief Fire Officer, which is anticipated to take place w/c 22 or 29 July 2024.
