WH Bence has an exciting opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Manager to join their Purchase Ledger team.

Location: Yate, Bristol (BS37 5NG)

Salary: Starting from £30,000 PA (Dependant on Experience)Job Type: Full - Time, Permanent, 37.5 Hours PW (Monday to Friday 8:30 - 17:00)

Due to increased workloads, and operating from 4 sites in Yate, WH Bence is looking to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Manager to join the Finance Team.

Purchase Ledger Manager – The role:

Join our administrative team at the Bence Office as our new Purchase Ledger Manager. You'll play a crucial role in managing the Purchase Ledger and providing support to the Office/Finance Manager. In addition to your core responsibilities, you'll adopt a flexible approach, contributing to reception duties, general administration tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the office.

Purchase Ledge Manager – Key Responsibilities:

- Ensuring procurement orders are typed into Sage on a daily basis

- Checking delivery notes and invoices – including chasing missing paperwork in-house

Inputting invoices

- Checking Supplier Statements and identifying missing invoices

- Daily check of the Aged Creditors and having a clear understanding of payments coming due

- Become familiar with the payment terms of our suppliers.

- Compile payment runs for suppliers including entering BACS payments

- Liaising with both the Bence Stores and Bence Procurement departments

- Understanding the Credit Card analysis – help to chase missing card receipts

- At month end – run through completed build projects and identify outstanding costs

- Run Sage reports and analyses as requested by the Office & Finance Manager or Directors.

- Able to run the Sage financial meeting reports when requested

- Help compile work in progress reports at month end

Purchase Ledger Manager – You:

- Previous purchase ledger experience essential- Organised attitude, able to prioritise work load, for yourself and others- Accurate numeracy and typing skills, with a keen eye for detail

- Able to work proficiently with Outlook, Word and Excel

- Previous knowledge of Sage-200 an advantage

- Proactive and resourceful ensuring Purchase Ledger meets targets (such as a timely month end)- Ability to spot and work to resolve supplier and invoice queries, including interacting positively with others to achieve this- Confident outlook to work, happy to be flexible when necessary

- Over a period of time be capable to manage supplier payments

- With tuition run Sage reports, identify errors and keep the Purchase Ledger updated
