Job Description: We are seeking an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of our fleet of HGVs, ensuring they are always in top condition. This role requires a strong understanding of HGV systems and components, as well as a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HGVs to ensure optimal performance.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on HGVs.
* Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend vehicle life.
* Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
* Maintain accurate records of services and repairs performed.
* Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
* Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues.
* Provide emergency roadside assistance when necessary.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic.
* Strong knowledge of HGV systems, components, and repair techniques.
* Relevant qualifications in vehicle mechanics.
* Ability to use diagnostic tools and software.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A valid HGV license is desirable but not essential.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime when required.
