Management Accountant

We are delighted to be working with one of Sheffield's standout service businesses on a brand-new recruitment assignment for a Management Accountant. This business has established themselves within their market as a key contender following their extensive growth and recent international ventures. Following this sustained growth, the newly created role of Management Accountant will report into the Group Financial Controller and support the wider finance function.

As Management Accountant, you will play a key role in steering process improvement, providing financial insights, preparing month-end management accounts and supporting finance teams with ad-hoc requests. The role has been designed to improve business performance and efficiency by providing accurate and timely financial reports, alongside the analysis of financial and commercial data to offer strong business recommendations to support further growth.

This opportunity would be suitable for a qualified individual who is looking to take on more responsibility within a up and coming business who can offer scope to develop into a more senior position.
Duties will include:
* Preparation of accurate and timely financial statements
* Full production of monthly management accounts
* Preparation of dashboards for overseas subsidiaries
* Support the in-housing of European management accounting
* Re-development of current reporting packs to automate weekly and monthly reporting processes
* Supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business
* Production of budgets and tracking variances to ensure budgetary control
* Preparation of financial forecasts based on market trends, business projections and operational plans
* Assist with maintaining internal controls alongside developing and implementing financial procedures
* Assist with implementing financial systems and technologies to enhance financial reporting, analysis
* Assist with internal and external auditors to facilitate financial audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements

Person Specification:
* Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
* Experience of budget production
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills
