Woodhaven Residential Treatment Center, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking to hire experienced and compassionate Chemical Dependency Counselors for their residential and outpatient programs. As a Chemical Dependency Counselor, you will join a team of dedicated professionals committed to helping clients overcome substance abuse. The ideal candidate will be passionate about guiding clients in their journey towards recovery, providing the support and tools necessary for them to achieve long-term success. Responsibilities
Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address substance abuse issues.
Provide case management services, including client assessments and treatment planning.
Assist clients in developing, implementing, and evaluating their own treatment goals.
Monitor and document client progress and maintain accurate and up-to-date treatment records.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and communicate effectively with team members.
Facilitate peer support groups to promote client accountability and community involvement.
Requirements
Minimum of LCDC II required
A minimum of 2 years of experience working with chemically dependent populations.
Knowledge of substance abuse treatment models.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to provide quality care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a professional manner.
