Position: CCTV / Security Engineer
Location: Thornaby
Salary: Negotiable + Annual Bonus
Employment Type: Permanent
Role Purpose: As a member of the security installation team, you will be responsible for undertaking various new installation, pre-planned and reactive maintenance works encompassing either, CCTV, Access Control or Intruder Alarm Systems. You must demonstrate a knowledge of Security System British/EN Standard and NSI Standards. You may be required to participate in the company’s on-call rota. You will take responsibility for all assigned projects from commencement to completion.
Responsibilities
* Installation, servicing/maintenance, testing, and commissioning of Intruder Alarm Systems
* IP Surveillance Systems and Access Control Systems or related equipment, follow schematic drawings and building plans by NSI and relevant Codes of Practice/Policies.
* Providing a quality installation most methodically and efficiently, including the ability to digest the detailed scope of works and working drawings.
* Liaising with ARC (Alarm receiving centres).
* Production of high-quality commissioning and handover documentation and as-fit drawings.
* Maintaining a safe work environment at all times and having a good understanding of the Health and Safety i.e. Method, Risk assessments, safe working procedures etc.
* Client training and demonstration of systems to explain the systems working and functionality.
* Responding to out-of-hours service calls
Requirements
* Demonstrate at least 3 years of previous experience in a Security role.
* Demonstrate a general knowledge of Security Systems - Intruder Alarms, Access control, CCTV and Intercom.
* Demonstrate strong communication skills.
* Sound administration skills with an understanding of the importance of paperwork and the accuracy and timeliness of submission of same.
* Full Driving License (subject to inspection for company insurances)
* Employment will be subject to successful BS7858 security screening and Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
* Must be willing to work away from time to time.
