We are seeking a talented Firmware Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company. In this key role, you’ll play a vital role in developing and testing embedded software for our clients’ products.
Key Responsibilities.
* Design and develop embedded firmware for use of key products in a language suitable for the application. This will primarily be ‘C’ with some assembly.
* Design and develop PC based test environments to allow the verification and validation of software, electronics, and products during the design life cycle. This will primarily be written in C#.
* Complete verification and validation process on developed embedded software and systems.
* Constantly review procedures and processes with Manager, to improve the quality of products at the design & development stage.
* Provide novel and innovative solutions to design requirements and design / product issues.
* Write product documentation in accordance with customer and the business requirements.
* Liaise with the Production Engineering Department to provide technical assistance in the development of test solutions.
* Help identify to the project team during the planning stages and throughout a project, factors effecting its successful completion.
* Provide technical support to other departments when required including the Service, Sales and Field staff.
* To research new technologies and processes/tools, providing feedback on how they could be used in the development of products.

The working schedule is 39 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:00 with 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Friday 1.00pm finish.
This is an office based position with a salary of up to £40,000 per year.
