Job role / duties

Oversee day to day operation to ensure optimum product quality in line with production costs
Set and implement high standard of quality across the product range
Manage processes to meet BRC and other external and internal audit criteria, including CCP's, GMP, Complaints, Non-Conformances and Audit readiness
Deliver operational strategy by motivating and giving clear direction to the team
Conduct regular GMP and Health and Safety audits
Be hands on with material planning, availability and yield KPI's vs standards & operational budgets
Plan staffing in line with costs to deliver production plans
Take ownership of all recruitment within the production department from Shift Manager to Operative levels
Take responsibility for temporary staff partners, ensuring staff are of the correct standard and suitability for the business needs
Lead production objectives and implement action plans to achieve set target's
Analyse current processes and procedures with a view to identifying bottlenecks and putting corrective actions in place
Conduct Root Cause analysis by driving SIC controls with clear timebound action plans
Gather and present data using a range of I.T platforms and software systems
Ensure all stock and inventory levels are correct and utilised as per specification
Deliver continuous improvement Action Plans through the Team
Provide manufacturing information from analysing production performance records and data
Maintain a safe & clean work environment by educating personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures

To be considered for this role you MUST

Currently work in food production as a Shift Manager
Be able to provide evidence of internal & external training relevant to the role
Have experience of BRC and Customer Audits
Possess an IOSH managing safety qualification as well as Food Hygiene/Safety qualification including HACCP, COSHH, CCP, QCP and Allergen Control
Have an open and hands on management style
Be a good coach & mentor
Possess excellent written & verbal communication skills
Be PC Literate (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Have proven ability to implement and drive change
Have experience of undertaking risk assessments, accident investigation and near miss / hazard events
