Elite Supply Services is seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a Design Technology Technician for a vibrant Secondary School in the Stafford area. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the education and safety of students.
Role Overview:
As a Design Technology Technician, you will be an integral part of the Design Technology department, responsible for various tasks including equipment setup and operation, ensuring the safety of colleagues and students, demonstrating the use of tools and equipment, and providing support to students. Knowledge of Design Technology and Woodwork is essential for this role. Previous experience in caretaking, maintenance, or the woodworking/carpentry trade is highly valued, especially if you have a passion for working in an educational setting.
Requirements:
* Experience in Design Technology and Woodwork/Carpentry
* Ability to set up and operate equipment
* Commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students and staff
* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and support students
* Flexibility and adaptability to work in a school environment
* Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to process a new one)
* Availability to provide references covering the last two years
* Successful completion of all other clearance safeguarding checks
