Are you passionate about working with Children? Are you a supportive, caring, resilient and a reliable individual?
Shift patterns
7:30am - 11pm - Sleep in 07:30am - 11pm
It will work as a 2 days on and 4 days off.
Requirements
* 1 year’s Minimum experience working with children (preferably as a Residential Support Worker)
* level 3 qualification in Residential Care or equivalent.
* Experience working with children with EBD.
* Restraint Trained (Desired).
* Clear Enhanced DBS registered on the update service.
* Driving Licence with access to a car (Desired)
Support Worker Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support with nightly tasks: such as medication and domestic duties.
* To participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
* To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required
* Always ensure that the ethos of the Statement of Purpose is applied.
* Adhere to statutory policies and procedures.
* To be a Key Worker where designated and contribute to the child or young person’s plan which reflects his/her care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs. Ensure that this plan is regularly reviewed in conjunction with other team members.
* Be alert to signs of distress or abuse and to ensure that the child or young person is monitored and protected.
* Work within the safeguarding and child protection guidelines, following the reporting procedures where appropriate.
* Be aware of children’s rights and work in an anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive manner.
* Contribute to childcare planning and review meetings when required.
* Ensure that confidentiality is always maintained and observe data protection guidelines.
