Azure Security Engineer

About this position
The Cloud Security team is at the forefront of securely enabling the adoption of cloud technologies to support enterprise-scale operations. As an Azure Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust security measures across our Azure cloud environment. Your expertise will contribute to safeguarding our firm's assets and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Job Responsibilities
Develop, test, and deploy Azure Security Controls across the firm's Azure tenants to enhance security posture.
Provide security recommendations and solutions for migrating existing and new applications to Azure within the Morgan Stanley environment.
Collaborate closely with vendors and partner squads to develop, deploy, and test cloud security services.
Respond promptly to Azure Cloud security drifts and collaborate with stakeholders to remediate identified issues.
Integrate, configure, document, and deploy compliant infrastructure and supporting services in the Cloud platform.
Troubleshoot problems, analyze root causes, and address bugs introduced by security solutions.
Work collaboratively with Risk Management, Security Architecture, and Cyber Incident Response teams to deploy and test necessary controls for Cloud services.
Conduct training sessions and review meetings to educate teams on implemented solutions.
Collaborate within a globally distributed team to develop innovative and robust Cloud-centric solutions.
Skills/Requirements
Understanding of the Shared Responsibility Model and cloud security risks.
Experience across the security assurance lifecycle.
Proficiency in configuring Azure native security tooling.
Solutioning and configuring event-driven security controls in Azure.
Familiarity with DevOps processes and Secure SDLC.
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Knowledge of Azure security tooling.
Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
Previous experience in the financial industry would be advantageous.
Azure certifications would be a plus.
Additional Information:
12-month contract with the possibility of extending/converting
Pay/Salary Range:
Pay Range: $64-$74/hour
