Become a Key Player in a Leading Healthcare Team as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Strong Force Staffing, a prominent Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) partner, is excited to collaborate with our New Mexico agency partner in seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This role presents a unique chance to profoundly impact patients' lives by providing quality care directly in their homes. Your Role:
As a COTA, you will work closely under the supervision of Occupational Therapists to implement therapeutic plans and interventions. Your role is crucial in assisting patients to develop, recover, improve, and maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. You will contribute to a team effort to deliver personalized therapy services aligned with the Plan of Care and our agency's respected policies and procedures.
Key Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current state licensure or registration as required.
At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting, with home health experience preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license and auto insurance, with a reliable vehicle and a good driving record.
Current CPR certification.
Essential Responsibilities:
Assist in conducting comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and diagnostic tests.
Implement and monitor therapy care plans created by the Occupational Therapist.
Document and communicate patient progress effectively and timely.
Educate and guide patients in therapeutic activities and exercises.
Ensure quality patient care under the direction of Occupational Therapists.
