Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Managing Principal to be based in Atlanta, GA with the primary responsibility to lead and grow the multi-disciplinary Architecture and Engineering Consulting practice. This position should be able to position AECOM as a top 3, A/E firm within the Atlanta community.
This is a practice-building position. We are seeking an individual who can bring visibility and client relationships in the public and private market sectors. The selected candidate will be able to build strong client relationships as well as an established client and industry network. The ideal candidate understands business fundamentals that include teambuilding, business development, client leadership, P&L oversight, design quality, and project delivery, and can convey innovative design thinking and solutions.
The responsibilities of this Practice Building position include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for developing and executing the strategic growth plan for their office, including developing and executing client outreach goals.
Leads the local strategy in assuring that we are building client relationships, pre-positioning, winning, and delivering the most important work in the region.
Together with regional practice leadership and market sector leaders build high-performance design teams – soliciting and managing client feedback to align operations and allocate resources according to strategic priorities, recognizing and unleashing the potential of others by providing the needed environment, resources, coaching, experiences, and other support champions an innovative and collaborative culture
Champions change – makes the AECOM vision understandable, creates buy-in to the vision by linking day-to-day work to the attainment of the vision, and engages and mobilizes others to drive change.
AECOM’s Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture.
