Job Description
The Ocean Export Agent is responsible for the end-to-end performance and superior outcomes of all Ocean Export operations. In this role, you will ensure quality, compliant, timely, and excellent service to our customers and vendors by organizing, planning, coordinating, and controlling operations.
Responsibilities:
Working with customers to plan empty container pickups and loading schedules
Arranging bookings with ocean carriers, ensuring optimal routes and schedules for timely delivery.
Preparing and managing all necessary export documentation, including bills of lading, export declarations, and certificates of origin, ensuring compliance with international regulations.
Building and maintaining great relationships with customers and vendors, serving as the subject matter expert and escalation contact, responding timely and following up on issue resolution
Collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure efficiency, excellent customer service and creative problem resolution
Partnering with the sales team to plan for and deliver successful onboarding and implementation of new customers
Staying up-to-date with changes in export regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements to ensure compliance and minimize risk for the company and its clients.
Providing reporting and documentation support to internal and external customers
