Your responsibilities as our Country Manager will include:

  • In alignment with the UK&I General Manager, define and implement the local strategy to support business growth and development.
  • Ensure effective strategies are implemented to deliver agreed and targeted volume targets.
  • Ensure strong commercial, financial and operational management structures and teams are in place.
  • Maintain a visible profile internally and externally, representing the agency with key stakeholders, customers and suppliers
  • In conjunction with UK&I General Manager and UK Executive Leadership Team (ELT), ensure effective integration of the UK&I agency with the global CMA CGM Network
  • Act as key member of the UK ELT, contributing to the smooth functioning of this team to support organisational targets
  • Ensure the Ireland Agency team is correctly resourced to deliver day-to-day workload and developments, whilst ensuring levels of staff attrition are controlled and that appropriate engagement initiatives are in place to maintain the hughest possible levels of morale across the team

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Proven strategic leadership experience in the Shipping & Logistics industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to develop and manage effective working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Proven decision making and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence key (Senior) stakeholders.
  • strong knowledge of the Macroeconomic and industry trends relevant to the Ireland agency, and Sales Verticals within relevant markets for the Ireland Agency
  • Demonstrable Project and Change management expertise, with proven track record of timely delivery of strategic projects
  • Proven experience of effectively managing Resource budget and cost management initiatives within designated business area
  • Highly developed analytical and problem identification & solving skills to ensure the optimal solution is reached.
  • Demonstrable People leadership and management experience, with proven ability to instil a culture of high performance and high engagement within teams.
