As a crucial member of the supply chain team, you'll take charge of inbound raw materials, production planning, supply planning, and demand planning. Location: Rainham, Essex

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week (between 7:30 am - 6:00 pm)

Salary: 65,000-£70,000 per annum

Start date: ASAP

Please note that due to the location of the site, the client will only consider candidates who have a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle as it's not accessible via public transport.

Key Responsibilities:

Inbound Raw Material Supply Chain:

Responsible for all inbound logistics, including:
Sea Freight: management of (Apply online only) annual container movements, in close collaboration with the global logistics HQ in Spain
UK landside logistics (bulk and container), including management of 3PLs.
Raw material storage, including planning and contract management with storage providers.
Budget responsibility for spend in excess of £6m with a strong focus on productivity.
Documentation management
Material contract and supply management; including liaising with suppliers on supply chain issues and a strong focus on quality.
Customs arrangements
Raw material product planning, including liaising with production management and reviews with senior management.Production and Materials Planning:

Management of a production planning team based across 2 manufacturing sites based in Rainham, Essex with responsibility for:
The replenishment of inbound raw materials, ingredients and packaging using an excel based MRP system.
Responsible for ongoing development of the MRP including reporting and obsolescence reduction.
Production planning at both local manufacturing sites for production of 250+ SKUs using and excel based MPS system, including shopfloor scheduling.
Capacity Planning/Rough cut planning
Rework and short shelf-life management.
Working closely with customer service and outbound logistics to ensure the fulfilment of customer orders. Demand Planning:

Management of the forecasting processes within key sales sectors to generate accurate demand forecasts, including:
Working closely with sales and production teams
Setting and reviewing Stock Holding PoliciesAbout you:

Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
Experience of managing a high performing team
Very strong analytical skills with the ability to offer insight into data.
Quality mindsetQualifications/Experience required:

Demand/Production/supply chain planning experience is essential, preferably within FMCG.
Logistics experience would be advantageous.
P&L responsibility/cost management experience
Degree level education
Advanced Excel ability, Formulas & Pivot tables essential
Strong Administrational Skills
Excellent (other) Microsoft Office Skills
Experience of JD Edwards or another ERP system is desirable but not essential.
Software integration desirable, but not essential
