Senior Electroplater and Chemical Metal Finisher

Salary up to £30,000 - £35,000 (£17.25ph)
Due to rapid growth within the business an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team of one of our well-established Birmingham based clients. They are looking for an experienced Electroplater and chemical metal finisher to join their finishing team.
Senior Electroplater and Chemical Metal Finisher Key Responsibilities:
* Plating brass cabinet hardware in nickel, chrome, and copper.
* Chemically processing to various unique finishes.
* Conducting daily routine chemical checks and logging results.
* Making chemical additions to our chemical finishing tanks following the daily checks and the guidance of our consultants.
* Correctly storing chemicals in line with standard operating procedures and health and safety guidelines.
* Managing and conducting routine maintenance.
* Managing quality to ensure standards and processes are adhered to and achieved.
* Ensuring all parts are assigned and the movements of work are correctly logged.
* Managing general housekeeping.
* Developing and improving processes and working procedures.
Senior Electroplater and Chemical Metal Finisher Key Skills:
* Previous experience is necessary, training will be given on our unique finishes.
* Exceptional knowledge of chemical make-up of nickel, chrome, and copper tanks.
* Knowledge of the safe use and storage of chemicals in a chemical finishing environment.
* Knowledge of plating plant maintenance.
* Enthusiastic and energetic.
* Ability to problem solve.
* Highly organised and able to prioritise.
* A focus on quality and diligence.
