Job Title: CNC Programmer, Setter, Operator
Location: Solihull
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm. Friday 7am-12pm
Salary: £15.58 per hour
Job Description: The CNC Programmer, Setter, Operator is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, proficiency in CNC programming languages, and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
CNC Programming:
To set, programme and operate CNC machines to produce high quality manufactured parts
Working to drawings and CAD files with a variety of materials
Operate CNC and manual machinery plus a variety of hand tools
Must have experience using the following machines: 4 vertical milling centres, 1 off yang vertical milling centre, 1 bridgeport vertical milling centre and 2 colchester tornado turning centres.
Programmes used: Fanuc, Siemans, Heidenham, Haas controller being the most desirable. All machines are programmed at the machine, not offline in a CAD/CAM software.
Experience:
Experience as a machine setter, programmer, operator
Loading of fixtures and tooling
Knowledge of measuring tools
Knowledge of CNC language
Qualifications:
GCSE Mathematics and English
City and guilds in Engineering Level 1 (Desirable)
General knowledge:
Any relevant CNC training
CAD/CAM training
Lean training
Edge Cam experience
Abrasive wheels cert
