Lifting Tackle Inspector

Elevate your career with a pivotal role in ensuring safety and operational efficiency within a dynamic industrial environment. A reputable firm seeks a diligent Lifting Tackle Inspector / Lifting Equipment Inspector to join their dedicated team to cover there Rotherham and Stocksbridge sites.

Offering a competitive salary of approximately £36,400, inclusive of Shift Allowance.

This position promises a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, complemented by alternating weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday), with midweek days off. Moreover, the role presents the possibility for occasional overtime, remunerated at an attractive premium rate.

Key Responsibilities:

* Thorough examination of lifting gear and tackle, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

* Accurate documentation and record-keeping of inspection findings.

* Prompt reporting of any defects or issues to relevant parties.

* Collaboration with operational teams to facilitate safe and efficient work practices.

Essential Skills & Experience:

* The ideal candidate should have LEEA Advanced programme Training Certification and / or alternatively are a time served apprentice looking for their next challenge.

* Proven experience in the inspection of lifting equipment, with a strong understanding of relevant safety standards and regulations.

* Experience with: Chains, Slings, Shackles, Manual/Powered Hoists, Lifting Beams, Runway Beams

* Adept at identifying potential risks and implementing preventative measures.

* Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.

* Effective communication skills, capable of liaising with team members and management.

* Full UK driving licence
