Position Overview:We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Accountant with extensive experience in the preparation of 1041s, 706s, and trust accountings. The ideal candidate will not only possess strong technical expertise in these areas but will also demonstrate the ability to provide peer reviews for other preparers, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare complex 1041s, 706s, and trust accountings for clients, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
Conduct thorough reviews of 1041s, 706s, and trust accountings prepared by other team members, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure quality and accuracy.
Serve as a subject matter expert on tax-related matters pertaining to trusts, estates, and other relevant entities.
Stay up-to-date on changes to tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards relevant to 1041s, 706s, and trust accountings, and communicate implications to the team.
Collaborate with other team members to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in the preparation and review of 1041s, 706s, and trust accountings.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and addressing any questions or concerns related to their tax filings and financial matters.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred.
years of experience in accounting, with a focus on the preparation of 1041s, 706s, and trust accountings.
Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations pertaining to trusts, estates, and other relevant entities.
Proven ability to review and analyze complex financial documents with a high degree of accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Proficiency in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
