We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager to oversee all aspects of quality management within our organization. The QA/QC Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a proven track record of implementing effective QA/QC strategies.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
Establish and maintain a comprehensive quality management system in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Provide leadership and guidance to QA/QC team members, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure incoming materials and components meet quality specifications.
Manage the calibration and maintenance of testing equipment and instrumentation.
Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for improvement.
Prepare and present reports on quality performance to senior management and stakeholders.
Lead investigations into customer complaints and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to quality management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance and/or quality control roles, must have food manufacturing experience.
Strong understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools, such as Six Sigma, Lean, and Statistical Process Control.
Proven experience developing and implementing quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 or similar standards.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
Certification in quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt) is a plus.
