My client, An Investment Bank with offices internationally are looking for a Financial Controller to be based in Frankfurt, Germany. The role is at Director level and the candidate must be fluent in English and German.

You will work to a hybrid model of which three days a week you'll be expected to be in the office.

Key responsibilities and tasks:

To support the group legal entity control function to ensure that books and records are maintained in accordance with relevant rules and regulations.
Responsible for timely and accurate delivery of financial information to key stakeholders.
Understanding and implementing local regulatory reporting requirements.
To provide assurance of integrity of Balance Sheet and PL.
To provide meaningful financial information to the Business to facilitate decision making process.
To run the month-end financial process.
Responsible for other financial control tasks to support the wider financial control function.
Presentation of and managing the preparation of reporting to support key governance forums e.g. Finance & Tax Committee.
Responsible for understanding local regulatory reporting requirement and facilitation of reporting delivery.
Understanding/keeping abreast with local regulatory developments.
Responsibility for management and statutory accounts.
To facilitate month end accounting close.
Monthly Balance Sheet accounts attestation oversight.
Support the preparation and provision of information to internal and external audit and supporting the closure of any finance related audit points.
Managing the wider finance teams relationship with the German regulators - acting as key point person for communication.
People management.

Strong understanding of financial statements within a similar environment (Banking).
Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
Financial Control and accounting experience.
Qualified accountant with strong academic background.
Regulatory Reporting experience.
