Weve been retained to hire a Vice President of Operations to oversee a highly specialised, high mix/low volume aerospace manufacturing organisation. Theyre a highly specialised aerospace manufacturer with a enviable reputation in the market for a customer first approach. Youll be responsible for all operations including; manufacturing, environmental health & safety (EH&S), tooling, and maintenance operations at their West Virginia site. For the right person, the sky is the limit in terms of promotion to President at site level and further down the line EVP opportunities at group level.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
* $150,000-175,000 (neg) per annum + 25% bonus
* Relocation lump sum available to be discussed
* Sign on bonus to be discussed
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE SUCCESSFUL VP OF OPERATIONS:
* Lead collaboration amongst your leadership team, providing both guidance and mentorship.
* Lead operational activities to ensure the availability of trained resources and proper processes for delivering top-tier services and solutions.
* Achieve financial sustainability through the efficient production of existing products and the development of new opportunities.
* Champion and communicate the site's vision and mission, empowering employees to exceed the expectations of customers, colleagues, and senior management.
* Regularly engage with leadership teams to discuss business operations, address customer needs, employee issues, equipment availability, and strategize on new business opportunities.
* Promote and maintain a safety-oriented work environment daily.
* Lead a Matrix organization effectively in support of organizational goals.
* Oversee continuous improvement initiatives and environmental compliance.
THE SUCCESSFUL VP OF OPERATIONS WILL HAVE THE BELOW EXPERIENCE:
* Degree from an accredited institution required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
* of ten years of experience in a manufacturing organization.
* attitude with a self-starter approach.
* of comprehensive supervision of a manufacturing site and maintenance operations, driving companys goals for financial performance, customer satisfaction, and employee fulfillment.
* in engineering drawings/blueprint interpretation and good reasoning abilities to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* of working in a fast-paced, multitasking environment with the ability to set and balance priorities.
* in managing and participating in cross-functional teams including a mentorship driven approach
* ability to engage effectively with senior executives.
