What you will be doing:
Be a part of the US Benefits team assisting in the administration, communication and systems support of various employee benefits plans.
Heavy participation with Open Enrollment process preparation and updating any documentation.
Answers all benefit inquiries from our US associates. Either through a ticket system or direct communication.
Counsels and assists employees regarding benefits, eligibility, open enrollment, basic inquiries, and procedures. Be the subject matter expert on all things benefit related.
Processes terminations from plans and notifications to COBRA Administrator.
Assists employees with problem claims and/or appeals.
Maintains vendor contact to investigate discrepancies and provide information in non-routine situations.
Assists in preparing materials and presenting benefit plan changes to employees.
Helps ensure compliance with all governmental regulations related to benefits programs, including ERISA reporting and disclosure requirements, FMLA, HIPAA.
What you will need:
Typically 5 years of Benefit experience and college degree preferred
Knowledgeable of health and welfare benefits and retirement plans as well as human resources standard concepts, practices and procedures including, but not limited to, disability programs, welfare programs, FMLA, HIPAA, and ERISA
Ability to apply analytical and decision-making capabilities to apply benefit policies and company philosophy to working situations
Ability to prioritize work, handle details accurately and follow up with minimum supervision
High level of both written and verbal communication
Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors and public
