The Sunshine House Early Learning Academy is seeking a First Steps Teacher for our award-winning school in Mount Pleasant on Long Point Road. About The Sunshine House:Bright futures start here! The Sunshine House is much more than daycare for children 6 weeks to 12-years-old. We help children build a solid educational and social foundation -- with all the fun of childhood mixed in! We are one of the largest early education and childcare companies in the United States, operating more than 100 schools in 8 states. Our schools exude a comforting, family feeling, and are led by passionate, supportive early childhood professionals!!
Pay rate of $20-22 per hour, based on experience, education and credentials.
First Steps Teacher Responsibilities:
Implement the SC state First Steps 4K curriculum to prepare children for success in kindergarten
Foster relationships with children and provide a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Document and share with families the important milestones in a child’s day using our app.
Welcome families and engage them in conversation about their child's education and development.
Have fun and work as part of a supportive team!
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field required. It is acceptable to have an Associate's Degree, but must be enrolled and/or working towards a Bachelor's Degree.
At least 6 months of experience at a licensed childcare center.
