Job Description:
As a Construction Recruiter at Talent Source, you will play a crucial role in sourcing, screening, and hiring top talent for diverse construction projects across various fields. Below are the key responsibilities and requirements for this position:
Responsibilities:
Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals.
Screen resumes and applications to identify candidates who meet the requirements for construction roles in diverse fields such as residential, commercial, civil, and industrial construction.
Conduct initial phone screenings and interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and suitability for specific positions.
Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a seamless and efficient recruitment process.
Manage the candidate pipeline and applicant tracking system to track candidate progress and maintain accurate records of recruitment activities.
Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including staffing agencies, trade schools, and industry organizations, to expand the talent pool and enhance recruitment efforts.
Provide guidance and support to hiring managers on best practices for interviewing, selection, and onboarding of construction personnel.
Stay current with industry trends, labor market conditions, and recruitment best practices to continually improve recruitment strategies and processes.
Collaborate with the HR team to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Previous experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in the construction industry or related fields.
Knowledge of construction trades, skills, and terminology across diverse construction sectors.
Strong sourcing and networking abilities, with a proven track record of successfully identifying and engaging top talent.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners.
Proficiency in applicant tracking systems and recruitment software.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
