We are recruiting a Contract Manager to work on the first offshore wind farm in Japan.
Our client is developing the farm and require resource to start March 2020.
You will be part of a small but dedicated project team working on the Akita Noshiro offshore wind farm project and your primary tasks will be to provide technical leadership for the successful delivery of the commercial and financial.
You will proactively ensure that the works are carried out based on project strategy and contracts. You will look to optimize the package with respect to time, costs and HSEQ.
Develop contract management documentation and reporting
Contract management of EPCI contract across EPCI foundation, cable, WTG and onshore substation contracts
Monitor and manage contractor performance against contract performance obligations, KPI’s and adverse weather criteria
Primary contact for identifying risks or assessing ad hoc contractual disputes
You will have a suitable degree in finance, quantity surveying or similar and can demonstrate excellent results achieved from previous offshore windfarm experience in a similar role.
Profound contract management knowledge and excellent negotiations skills.
You are cooperative and a dedicated team player yet also able to work independently.
It is essential that you can demonstrate excellent communication skills and speak and write English fluently. However, also being able to speak and write in Japanese would be a distinct advantage.
The role rotates between Japan and home working.
