We are recruiting a Control System Lead to work on the first offshore wind farm in Japan.
Our client is developing the farm and require resource to start April 2020.
You will be part of a small but dedicated project team working on the Akita Noshiro offshore wind farm project and your primary tasks will be to provide technical leadership for the successful delivery of the Control System scope.
manage Control System FAT, SAT, SIT, commissioning and subsequent handover to O&M, including general follow-up
secure the right cyber security level is implemented on the SCADA systems, fulfilling both country specific and AOW requirements.
develop standard technical requirements and solutions within SCADA and Substation Control System (SCS)
have a clear understanding of WTG SCADA systems
You will have a suitable degree in engineering and can demonstrate excellent results achieved from previous offshore windfarm experience in a similar role.
Profound Control System knowledge, key areas listed below but limited to: -
have experience with maintenance of SCADA systems and networks from a WTG manufacturer (preferably Siemens Gamesa or MHI Vestas), preferably combined with practical knowledge of HV system design on offshore wind assets
have experience with failure investigation on SCADA systems and ideally have solid network knowledge
beneficial if you have thorough knowledge of relay protection, GOOSE communication and relevant communication protocols for power system automation, such as IEC (phone number removed)-101/104 and IEC 61850.
have experience with the design, specification, configuration and test of general SCADA and substation control systems from a similar industry, preferably within the energy sector
The role rotates between Japan and home working.
