General Motors IT is in the search for a Senior Mainframe Software Developer who is equally knowledgeable in web technology and full stack development. Initially, your primary role will be in the mainframe development space with continued focus and growth into web development. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow and learn with some of the best talent in the market. Additionally, you will work in a fast-faced environment utilizing a modern development toolkit with the introduction of Dev Ops tools and practices for the GM Mainframe. The role will include estimation, analysis, design, programming, unit/ integration testing, deployment, code debugging and job scheduling whenever applicable. This is a highly collaborative and increasingly Agile environment and will assume a key role for various new solutions within GM s Global Product Development IT Major_Duties_And_Responsibilities * Migration of mainframe application functions like Scheduling, Endevor etc to latest IBM products * Dev/Ops support * System functional enhancements * Mainframe to Mid-range platform migration * ETL * Green field system development in Web technology at a full stack developer capacity * Fully qualified individual contributor who has knowledge and understanding of all aspects of function * Ability to operate with a high level of independent judgment and are typically responsible for implementing functional strategy, administering and coordinating programs, counseling and advising management * Broad technical knowledge, training and understanding combined with creative and independent thinking * Proficiency in many technical functions and ability to integrate across disciplines and platforms * Performs complex assignments requiring a wider application of principles, theories and concepts * Ability to interact with other senior internal and external personnel * Ability to lead and provide direction to a team of professionals Additional_Job_Description Minimum Requirements: The_Candidate_Must_Have_3-5_Years_Of_Hands_On_Working_Experience_In_The Following BS in computer science, engineering, math or technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
